NJS will be offering a wide range of clubs to our children this term.

They will run from Monday 26th September until Friday 25th November.

Following our return to school you will receive details of the clubs on offer this term and we will then make them available on ParentPay for you to sign your child up to attend.

Please find attached a reminder of our school meal menu which runs until April 2023.

Telford and Wrekin School Meal Service will no longer accept cash payment for school meals so all payments will need to be made on Parent Pay (unless you are in receipt of Free School Meals).

Children can order a hot meal on the day.  Grab and Go (sandwich option) must be ordered by the week before and the order forms can be found below and emailed to lynne.stanley@taw.org.uk or handed into the class teacher:

At Key Stage One all children are entitled to a universal free school meal.

At Key Stage Two this changes and only pupils in receipt of Free School Meals are entitled to a funded meal at school.

We are delighted that Beech’s Base: our outdoor learning provision, will continue to run at NJS this year.  This is a wonderful facility (at the bottom of the school field!) where our children can learn in the outdoors.

Sessions will resume the week beginning the 12th September and you will be emailed to inform you which classes will attend on which days this term next week.

On the days your child attends Beech’s Base they can come to school in their own clothes.  These should be old as they will get muddy!  We ask that the children have long sleeves, long trousers and wellies for their visits to Beech’s Base.  They should also have a waterproof with them as sessions will go ahead whatever the weather (unless extreme!).

We are looking forward to sharing our 2022-2023 adventures in Beech’s Base with you.

Families with children in Years 4, 5 and 6: your Parent Pay account will continue with your current log in and settings.  Please continue to use this during this academic year to pay for school meals, visits etc.

Families with children in Year 3 and children new to NJS: once your child is on roll we have to await for electronic files to transfer.  Once this is complete we will write to you with your ParentPay details so that you can pay for meals, trips etc. online.  Please give us a few days to complete this and we will email to notify you that the letter has been sent home with your child.  In the meantime your child can of course have a school meal: the balance will appear on your ParentPay account once you receive your log in.

Please remember that Key Stage 2 are not funded to provide children with a breaktime snack therefore you may wish to send your child with a snack they can have at morning break.

We ask that this is fruit, vegetable or bread based snack.  No chocolate, crisps, sweets or cereal bars.
