We request that snacks are ideally fresh or dried fruit, raw or cooked vegetable or bread based such as bread sticks for example.

Please can we ask our school community to be considerate and safe with their travel to school arrangements.  We have had reports today of cars mounting pavements and parking inappropriately putting our children at risk.

Please be mindful that the roads local to NJS are busy at the start and end of the school day and the priority should be the safety of the pupils.  We politely request that you walk to school or park safely in a local car park (Specsavers or Shuker Field are recommended) and then walk to school site.

We appreciate your support with this.

Year 6 Parents and Carers

We know some Year 6 children will be involved in Grammar School testing on Monday.  Please can you advise the office if your child will be absent from school for this reason by calling 01952 386600 or emailing lynne.stanley@taw.org.uk

We believe testing may be taking place at various times: if your child is able to attend NJS for half the day it is our advice to enable them to do so.  Please confirm in your email if your child is likely to be absent for the day or half.

We just wanted to reassure families who have children at both Newport Infants and with us at NJS.

Our gates open at 8.45am and the agreement between both schools is that parents will drop their NJS child off here first before taking younger children to Newport Infant School.

We ask that children are collected between 3.15 and 3.25pm from NJS.  The understanding between both schools is that younger children will be collected from Newport Infant School first and then older children from here at NJS.  Please be reassured children will always be supervised until you get here and this is not a problem, it is what we expect.

Huge congratulations to Miss Jones and her partner on the birth of their daughter: Idella Alice.  Their beautiful baby girl was born last week weighing 7lb 1oz.
