Please can we make all parents and carers aware that should your child be bringing a mobile phone to school then we must be made aware with a permission form.
There is no need for a child to be bringing a phone to school unless they independently walk to and from school. If this is the case for your child then the following must be adhered to:
*A permission slip completed by the parent/carer and returned to the office before the phone is brought to school.
*As soon as child reaches the school site the phone must be turned off and not used again until they leave school site.
*On arrival into school the phone is to be handed to the class teacher (Year 6) or brought to the school office (Years 3, 4 and 5).
*The phone can then be collected at 3.15pm and must be left off until the child leaves site.
We thank you for your support in keeping our school safe.

Our outstanding club provision starts next week! Thank you our amazing staff for the offer they are providing this term.
Please can we remind you:
*Please remember that clubs are FREE at NJS and run by our own staff! This is an EXCEPTIONAL offer and we are extremely grateful to our team for their commitment. In return we ask that each week you check our Facebook page or website for the following week that your club is running (occasionally due to other commitments staff may need to cancel their club). We will never cancel a club on the day: if the club your child is attending cannot run for a ‘last minute’ reason we will find an alternative for your child.
*Please collect your child promptly! All after school club collection is from the gates onto the main playground closest to Avenue Road South. Staff will bring your child here for dismissal.
Thank you for your support.

A case of Head Lice in Year 4 has been reported to us.
Please can we ask that all parents and carers check their children’s hair routinely. If lice are found please can we ask that NHS guidance is followed: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/head-lice-and-nits/
We strongly recommend that pupils with long hair keep this tied back during the school day.
Thank you for your support.
Please find attached the current ‘Beat the Bell’ leaderboard! Come on everyone in before 8.55am tomorrow to help your class win the free mufti day!
Well done to the Year 3 staff for their Egyptian Day costumes!
