Caretaker Post

Our caretaker, Mr Matthews has taken the decision to retire this half term.  He has worked with the team at NJS for around three years and has worked incredibly hard in his role, we will miss him.

The post is currently being advertised by Telford and Wrekin Council should you know someone who may be interested the details can be found here:

Social Distancing

Please remember that we are all, as adults, still advised to practise social distancing.  It is not the place of the NJS staff to ‘police’ this however if you can do this during school drop offs and picks up it will make a difference to keeping our school family safe and well.

Water Bottles

Please can we ensure all children come to school everyday with a filled water bottle.

THANK YOU

Thank you to everyone in our school family for such an enjoyable and successful first week back in school.

I am incredibly grateful to the staff who have been committed and enthusiastic to ensure your children are welcomed and helped to settle back into school.

Thank you to yourselves for your ongoing support and cooperation with the team.

Most of all thank you to the children: they are absolutely brilliant and we are incredibly proud of them.  They have returned in great spirit and are a credit to their families.

Have a relaxing weekend.

Year 3

Parents and carers of Year 3 children should be super proud of how well they are settling into NJS: you have prepared them so well to join us and they are a credit to you.

We are really looking forward to getting to know them and to working with you all for their Junior School journey.

From Monday we would ask that you leave your child as soon as they are matched with their teacher, we will supervise them to handwash and get settled.

Thank you for your support.

Drop Off and Pick Up

Please can we remind families to practise social distancing on the journey to school and whilst on site.

We also want to support our neighbours by parking appropriately (and if possible on town car parks not neighbouring roads) and giving them space to pass.

Thank you for your support and for working to keep us all safe.

Thank you

Thank you so much to parents and carers who have been supportive of staff and our school family as we settle into our new routines and systems, we really appreciate you working with us.

Drop off and Pick Up

Please can we ask parents and carers to support us by not arriving early for drop off or pick up.  We have to put into place staggered drop off and pick up arrangements and keeping within the timing will really help this to run smoothly.

Please don’t be early and please arrive before the end of your time slot otherwise it blocks collection of the next year group.

It is really important that you stay in queue lines, we know this can be frustrating especially on a rainy day when you can see your child waiting but it is important to support social distancing and safe collection.  Please always stay to the left.

Years 3 and 5 we are amending the plan!  You will enter through the security gate and leave through the side gate to exit through the gate opposite Specsavers car park.  Please be mindful of leaving school through a car park, walk on the pavement next to the school building where you can.

We are really grateful to you all for your support with this, we are all learning with new systems and appreciate working in partnership.
