Arthog update!

The team have had a fab day of activities and are enjoying the experience.  It’s a bit wet in Wales tonight so they are stopping in for a quiz night!  The team are hoping to get some pictures of today on the website tonight.

The biggest disappointment was a mix up with a catering delivery meaning pancake ingredients have not arrived…..your children were quite happy however when told that in Wales pancake day is celebrated on a Thursday so they will get some then!!!

Tag Rugby Club Thursday

Sorry Tag Rugby Club on Thursday 7th March was accidentally cancelled on the newsletter but it will be taking place with Mr Parker and Mr Higgins on the field until 4.30pm.  This is the final trial for the team and children will be given letters if they are in.

Sorry again for any confusion.

Arthog Update!

The children are having a wonderful adventure!  The staff have kindly uploaded some super photographs onto the website: they are on the Year 5 pages.

Well done Jarratt!

Jarratt was part of a quiz team representing his Cub Pack and came 2nd in the District. Well done Jarratt from everyone at NJS!

Year 5 Cooking Club

Ooops!  I was planning a session Wednesday lunch time but a lot of the group will be at Arthog!

We will cancel this weeks Cookery Club and meet again on Wednesday 13th March: please can children bring a tin/container big enough for 6 muffins.

PTA Quiz Thank You!

Thank you to everyone involved in the successful Book Week Quiz held on Friday evening.  Well done and thank you to all of the families who came along to take part.

Thank you to Mr Rotherham and Mr Moody for putting the quiz together and a massive thank you to Mr Jones for standing in to host the quiz,

Our PTA work very hard to organise these events and we are very grateful to the committee and volunteers.

NJS Open Lidl!

NJS opened Newport’s new Lidl store this morning!  We had a wonderful time cutting the ribbon, having photographs, using the children’s trolleys and touring the warehouse!  Massive thank you to the families who bought their children to the opening, they were a credit to us!

Lidl are bringing fruit to school for the next three Tuesdays!

Cookery Club

Mrs Green and I thoroughly enjoyed cooking club today with group 1.  We made layered salads!  Children were excellent at washing, cutting, boiling eggs and clearing up!  Next time we are going to attempt banana and chocolate muffins!
