Social Media Expectations

We are an incredibly lucky NJS Team with a wonderfully supportive school community.  We have been overwhelmed over recent weeks with your messages of thanks and support and we are really grateful to you.

As we increase our use of social media and online forums please can I remind everyone in our school family of the importance of respect online.  Please be polite to staff members and other users at all times.  If we maintain effective and respectful use then our opportunities will continue to grow.

Thank you all.

Free School Meals

We are continuing to work hard to try to chase the Free School Meals vouchers through the national system.  We believe many of you have now received your first set of vouchers and the system shows the second set are due imminently.

Please know we are as frustrated as you with this system and we are doing our very best.  Thank you for your continued support.

NJS Fence: Please decorate!

Working with our community we would like to encourage you to hang colourful ribbons and decorations on our iron fencing outside the Victorian block on Avenue Road.  Bring some colour to remind everyone what we have to be thankful for and to remind us that after every storm comes a rainbow.

Please only do this as part of your daily exercise and practise social distancing at all times.

We are looking forward to seeing our colourful fence.

Thank you Teachers

I just wanted to say thank you to our wonderful teaching team who kept school open over the Easter Holidays to provide care for our Critical Worker children: they are amazing.

We were delighted to work together with Newport Infant School and Activ8 to maintain this provision; thank you to their staff also.
