ASSEMBLY – GUESS WHO?!

In preparation for an assembly the Guardians of Safety will be hosting on Monday (26.06.23), we are asking for your help! Transition day for some children is a worrying time and the Guardians decided something that would help would be knowing a little about the teacher before hand. With this in mind, we asked all the teachers for 3 facts about them! In assembly, the GOS will be asking the children who they think said what!

In the assembly, the GOS will be sharing some tips on how to manage change and think positively! We hope that this helps children as we prepare for transition day on Wednesday 28th June.

Have a look as a family and see if you can figure out which facts belong to which teacher… all will be revealed on Monday!

They will still need their usual school day items afterwards / change of clothing (school uniform in a bag) for the remaining day.

Thank you for your continued support,

Year 3 Transition visit to Chetwynd Deer Park

Year 3 enjoyed the company of their future school community when they made a visit together with Newport Infants Year 2 children to the Deer Park yesterday. Together, they took part in a variety of activities, including parachute games, natural art (see pictures), scavenger hunting, games and drawing. We all had a fabulous time and the sun did eventually come out!

Year 3 Chetwynd Deer Park Visit Wednesday 7th June

Dear Parents and Carers,

Just a quick reminder that tomorrow Year 3 will be walking to Chetwynd Deer Park from school, to take part in transition activities with the upcoming Year 2 children.

Children need to come dressed in Beech’s Base clothing with suitable footwear. They may wear wellies/trainers – whichever you think is most suitable.

Please ensure your child has a packed lunch and drink, plus sun cream/sunhat appropriate to the weather. Children will arrive back in time for the end of the day and collect from the usual place.

Thanks, Year 3 team.

Carnival Help from ALL parents!!

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As part of this year’s carnival, we are celebrating local heroes and keyworkers. Please may we request any photos of your parents in their work uniforms to use for our display as part of this year’s carnival?

Any parents who are: police officers, fire fighters, doctors, nurses, refuse collectors, teachers, cleaners, caretakers, carpenters, plumbers etc. These will be much appreciated.

Please send your photos directly to Mrs Jukes. The contact e-mail is natalie.jukes@taw.org.uk.

If we could have these photos by Thursday at the latest, this will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you Mrs Jukes

Year 3 Messy Maths day Monday 5th June

Dear Parents and Carers,

On Monday 5th June, children in Year 3 will be joining the rest of the school to take part in several slightly ‘messier’ Maths-related activities in and around the school. These help to show the children the ‘real-world’ aspects of maths, which are often a little ‘messier’ and not always done at a desk in a classroom!

All equipment will be ready for children to use and they can wear school uniform as usual, but bear in mind they will be outside in the sunshine, so please take the usual precautions with suncream etc.

Please keep your eyes peeled for photos after the event!

Kind regards,

The Year 3 Team (including Mr Butler again – see you tomorrow, 3B!)

Year 3 Gurdwara Visit Tomorrow
