Yr 6 Homework Week 8

Homework is due in by 4pm on Wednesday 13th November.

  1. Complete 3 reads to an adult and have your reading record signed.
  2. Complete the compare & order fractions sheet – choose one half of the sheet based on your confidence. Compare & Order Fractions (Support on how to compare and order fractions can be found here: Fractions with Mr J – YouTube)
  3. Complete SPaG sheet on colons, semi colons & dashes SPaG homework
  4. Complete spelling practice including a paragraph to show the words in context. Spellings 1-110

Miss Bold runs a homework club on a Wednesday at 3.15 – 4pm in 6B. Children are welcome to attend this if they would like some extra support with their homework.

A big thank you to Miss Lockwood for taking 6B into the forest yesterday. Everyone had an amazing time!

 

Year 6 science

A great science lesson today by 6B. We investigated how the length of a shadow changes according to how close an object is to a light source. We had some great predictions and then looked at variables and non variables.

Well done 6B!

6M Art Shirts Monday

Could all children in 6M please bring an old t-shirt/shirt on Monday that can have paint on it. They will be painting for the majority of the afternoon.

Yr 6 Tuesday – PE KITS NEEDED

Please can we ask all children who are not attending the Cross Country event to have PE Kits in school on Tuesday.

We are planning on taking the children in the hall to do some gymnastics and use of the climbing frame/ropes/ladders etc.

Year 6 Homework

Homework is due by 4pm on Wednesday 23rd October

  1. Complete 3 reads to an adults & get your reading record signed. This can be at home or at school.

  2. Complete test set on http://www.maths.co.uk – this is a really useful way of us analysing gaps in the curriculum on an individual level.

  3. Complete 10 spellings from the national statutory spellings words. Spelling List (Pg 6 of this document)

  4. Complete SPaG activity on adjectives & adverbs Adverbs and adjectives hw
