Yr 6 Contact Forms

Please can we ask that anyone who has not yet return their Home School Contact Form does so on Monday! It is very important that we have this information in school as soon as possible.

Many thanks

6J New Guided Reading Books

6J have made a brilliant start to life in year 6! Today we began our new Guided Reading book: Letters from a Lighthouse, by Emma Carrol.

This book is set in February 1914 and features a family devastated by the German air raids.

(Apologies if the pictures aren’t showing… technical issues!!)

A great start for 6B!

An absolutely fabulous first week back for class 6B! We’ve done some wonderful code breaking activities and place value in maths, as well as PE, B&V, English and guided reading! We’re all looking forward to next week. Have a great weekend everyone.

Yr 6 Thursday Reminders

A few reminders for children in Yr 6 ahead of Leavers’ Day tomorrow

  • Straight to church for leavers service. (A member of the year 6 will meet you there. Hi-5 club can come to school as normal and will be walked down!) GREEN JUMPERS to be worn!
  • Shirt signing taking place tomorrow – please remember you marker pen (Sharpie or something similar)
  • Leavers’ Party taking place after school. Please see previous message about this. Bring a change of clothes for the party!
  • Remember to bring a bag 4 life in order to carry home your old NJS books.

Yr 6 – Remember your big bags!

Please can we ask that all year 6 children bring a bag 4 life to school with them by Wednesday. We will be sending all NJS work books home on Thursday and children will need a sturdy bag in order to carry them.

We do not recommend plastic carrier bags as these will break. Please try and bring a strong bag 4 life if possible.
