Yr 6 Walk to Greggs

We plan to take the children who are not on the London residential to Greggs & the park tomorrow. Please can we ask that children come to school in comfy footwear and bring with them a maximum of £5 should they wish to visit Greggs/Lidl for something to eat.

Many thanks.

Departure for London…

Parents and Carers of London Residential children:

In advance of our departure on Wednesday morning a resident on Avenue Road has contacted ,me with concern regarding the noise we may cause at this time and parking disruption that may occur.

Please can I ask we are considerate to our residential neighbours:

*Please park on Specsavers Car Park and walk to school from there.

*Please stand on the Visitors Car Park outside the front security gate (usual Y6 gate) and NOT on Avenue Road.

Thank you in advance of your support.

Mrs M

Green to be Clean – Special Event!

Tomorrow, we will be holding our Green to be Clean event in school. This has been spearheaded by one of our Year 6 children who feels very passionately about helping those in need of access to clean water.

We are asking children to wear green mufti and to contribute with a voluntary donation (we suggest a minimum of £1) which will all be donated to Water Aid – a charity that help to provide access to clean water across the globe.

At 3.15pm, there will also be a selection of cakes on sale on the main yard which have been baked by some of our Global Avengers, as well as some staff and parents. If your child wanted to bring in any homemade cakes, please feel free to do so!

We are really looking forward to raising money for this charity and allowing the children an opportunity to make a difference to the world around them. An assembly will be held in the morning which will give more information about why we are supporting Water Aid.

Our NJS Arts and Minds Inspired Gallery is open!

We look forward to welcoming you to our NJS gallery this afternoon. The Art Ambassadors have prepared many facts & they are looking forward to sharing our work with you. Please can we remind you that you may walk around with your children but they must return to their classes after. Thank you so Mrs Jukes
