Years 5 and 6 Sports Day – Rearranged Date

Years 5 and 6 Sports Day will now take place on Wednesday 3rd July at 1.30pm.  Children can come to school in their PE kits with house colour t shirts.

Fingers crossed it’s dry!

Yr 5/6 Sports Day – 25.6.19

Yr 5/6 Sports Day

Please can we remind the children and parents in Yr 5 and 6 that they can come to school in their PE kits ready for Sports Day – they do not need uniform.

Both Yr 5/6 children need school bags with their normal equipment, but year 5 children also need their swimming kits.

My apologies I didn’t get to speak to Mr Moody before the school newsletter was published but writing club has now finished for the school year.

Homework

This week the children have spellings, reading and times tables homework. The spelling test will be next Friday as usual. Please can you ensure you listen to your child read at least 3 times over the week and sign the reading record. TTRS homework will go online from Monday and is due by next Friday at 8:45am.

Reminder… sports day on Monday! Children can come into school in their sports kit and need to wear a t-shirt for their house colour. If you don’t have a coloured t-shirt please send them in with a white t-shirt.

Reminder of homework due Monday 24th

Reminder about homework due on Monday 24th June.

Children need to research local and national news stories, making notes in their homework books.

We will be completing the newspaper reports in class during the week.

Children are still expected to read at least 3 times per week and record all reading in their reading record.

PE Kit Reminder for Fri 21st

Just a reminder (children have been told) that Yr 5 children need their PE kits in school tomorrow (Fri 21st).  We will be looking at Sports Day events, as a practice for Tuesday. Children will also get to select which events they then wish to take part in, in preparation for Tuesday afternoon.
