Australia Day – Roving Reporter Live from Oz!!

The children at NJS were surprised a day early today – from our roving reporter down in Australia! Mr Leonard!!
As part of our Australia Day focus on Friday, children were treated to a live NJS interview with Mr Leonard – who is currently sunning himself on the Gold Coast!
Mr Leonard came LIVE on screen to the children’s delight, and they were able to ask him questions about his experiences so far!!

Yr 5/6 Girls Football

Congratulations to the year 5/6 girls football team who, after beating Redhill 5-0 yesterday afternoon, now progress to the semi-final of the County Cup. Well done girls, a superb, confident performance! 💕⚽️

School of Sanctuary Presentation

Last term NJS achieved the School of Sanctuary Award which we are incredibly proud of. This morning we were formally presented with our award by the School of Sanctuary and we celebrated this with members of the community, governors, staff and children.

Attached is a video we shared this morning which highlights the children’s definitions of sanctuary: ‘happy’, ‘safe’, ‘comfortable’, ‘accessible’ and ‘achieving’.
