November 2018 Burton Borough Newsletter

Burton Borough School are issuing newsletters that they have requested we send out to parents.

Congratulations to some of our former pupils mentioned in here.  We are also grateful to BBS for the Science and Spanish work we have done with them this term.

Thank you to all parents/carers for their support with collection arrangements on the yard.  It has been really helpful to staff and more importantly the children prefer it too!

Shropshire Fire and rescue have asked us to circulate the attached leaflet:

We are aware that on certain devices the JPEG/picture information that we post displays blurred.  We are therefore posting both as a JPEG and a PDF so that whatever device you are using you should be able to see the information clearly.

The playground is busy at the end of the day and we aim to ensure children are dismissed carefully and that teachers are available if needed.

The area close to the swimming pool and the quiet area between the pool and school have become increasingly ‘congested’ with parents over recent weeks and children have reported finding it tricky to spot their parents.

From Monday we are going to ask for your support in keeping the area beside the swimming pool and the quiet area clear so that when class teachers bring children around to the playground from the main block there is space for them to stand and ensure children can see their parents.

For Monday we will position cones to ensure we indicate clearly the space we would like clear.  Please ensure that anyone collecting children is aware of our request.
