Yr 6 Visit to Crucial Crew

Year 6 enjoyed their visit to Crucial Crew yesterday. Children were guided through workshops on stranger dangers, road safety, water safety, knife crime, vaping, fire prevention, dangers of alcohol and their own health and well-being.

The sessions were run by West Mercia Police and the children seemed to really enjoy learning about ways to keep themselves safe after leaving NJS.

Kooth visit

Thank you to ‘Kooth’ for visiting year 6 this morning. It was good for the children to learn ways to adjust with the imminent transition to their new secondary school.

Yr 6 Tie Dye t-shirt

Please can we ask that all year 6 children bring in a plain white t shirt so that we can complete a leavers’ tie-dye with them.

A plain, round-neck white t-shirt is ideal, much like their PE tops.

Please make sure you write the child’s name on this top in permeant marker.

We are hoping to complete this project over the next few weeks.

Yr 6 Crucial Crew – Parent Pay

Please can we ask that parents ensure that children have been given permission for Tuesday’s visit to Crucial Crew.

There is no fee for this visit, but permission must be given. Without permission, children will have to remain at school.

Many thanks.

Yr 6 Trip to Crucial Crew

Y6-Crucial-Crew-letter

On Tuesday 24th June, Year 6 will be visiting Crucial Crew, located at TCAT. This is a wonderful and important visit for the children and something we have done for many years.

More information about logistics and the activities the children will be completing can be found on the attached letter.

Please note, there is no charge for this visit, but permission will need to be given via Parent Pay.

Many thanks.

Friday – Yr 6 Children at School

Today the Year 6 children who stayed at school, have had a fierce rap battle, the task was to write and perform a rap about our school. We definitely have some hidden talent in year 6! We had a couple of very excitable (and loud!) games of bingo, a biscuit break and some fun playing and learning how to code on scratch.
