Great times were had by all – Roman numerals, Roman Gods top trumps forming a ‘testudo’ with our impressive homemade shields and eating a Roman feast. Well done children!

Class 3B World Book Day
Well done to all children in my class today – fab costumes! 
Year 3 Spelling homework week commencing 27.2.17
For the next few weeks, children will get spellings and tables homework to practice, plus the usual reading homework. However, their additional homework until Friday 17th March will be to make a full-sized Roman soldier’s shield. We would like the shields to be approximately 1m tall and rectangular /curved in design, if possible. Children can use a range of materials to decorate their shields, according to traditional Roman designs. It can match their planned shield from school, but doesn’t have to. We would recommend completing the shield a little bit at a time, rather than last minute, as this often leads to last minute issues that cannot be resolved in time! Please come and speak to us if you are unsure about any aspect of this project. Thank you for your continued support.

Year 3 Swimming – Tuesdays
Dear Year 3 Parents,
Please ensure your child has their swimming kit on a Tuesday this half term until Easter.
On Thursdays they will need their full, ordinary PE kit, as usual.

Class 3B Assembly
Class 3B Parents information:
Class 3B Assembly will be starting at 2:50pm on Friday 18th November. Parents of class 3B children are welcome to attend. Please make your way to the school office by 2:45pm, for a 2:50pm start.
I have asked some of the children to provide their own costumes. Please ask your child if they need to make one for their part. If you are unsure, please ask me at 8:50am before school on Monday what your child needs to do.
Children need to practice their lines too. This can form part of their reading homework.

Chetwynd Deer Park Class 3B
A fabulous time was had by all. Lovely weather and a bug hunt, followed by great views of the deer. Thanks to all parents who assisted and to Chetwynd Deer Park staff, for providing the children with such a cool morning’s activities- we’ll definitely be back soon!

Another excellent day – super -impressed by all the children, who took up the challenge of climbing with enthusiasm. Jess, Cameron, Tiegan and Alfie – you really grew in confidence throughout the day, and really pushed through your fears – I’m really proud of you all.
