Today we held a special service of Remembrance beside our Garden of Remembrance. Each child has made a flag with the name of someone from the local area who died in the First World War. Behind the flags are 18 white balloons. Each balloon represents one million people who died in the First World War. We held two minutes silence as part of our special assembly.

This week we will be marking the Centenary of the end of the First World War in special assemblies about Peace.

Today we shared these service medals from the First and Second World Wars. They were awarded to Mr Charles Dymott, a former pupil of our school. They were donated to the school following his death. These medals will be displayed in school. If anyone has any further information about Mr Dymott please could you contact Mr Rotherham.
