Letter to Parents

Teachers will have been busy making sure all children have a matched reading book appropriate to their age. Hopefully children will have shared these books with you and shared their Reading Record book with you too.

We ask that children read at least 3 times a week at home.

Please record what they have read by writing it in their Reading Record Book.

Staff in school will check these books regularly to monitor reading at home and check how children are getting on with the books they have chosen.

Please see this attached leaflet with further information about how we organise reading at NJS and with suggestions for comments in the Reading Record Book. (The books are sometimes referred to as a Reading Diary- they are the same thing!)

Please find below the Grab and Go forms for the Autumn term. Grab and Go in a sandwich offer instead of a hot dinner. Please note that to order a Grab and Go lunch option the order form has to be in school by the Thursday of the previous week.
