We are continuing to closely follow the guidance that is issued to us as a Local Authority school. The decision has been made for us that it is currently safe for schools to remain open and so NJS does. We will continue to monitor for any changes in advice from Public Health or the Department for Education.
We are reminding children about the importance of handwashing in school. We are also sure you will wish to follow the latest guidance from yesterday: if people are presenting with a cough or temperature (37.8 or higher) they are advised to remain at home for 7 days. Please follow the usual procedures for reporting absence.
