Homework

This week for homework we would like the children to create a poster to raise the awareness of staying safe on the internet. Next Tuesday, it is ‘Safer Internet Day’ and with more and more children accessing the internet, we are hoping to create a display out of them.

Alongside the poster, the children will need to read three times to an adult.

If they could access times tables rock stars during the next week as well.

Finally, they will be coming home with a new set of spellings due to be tested next Friday (8th February).

Homework is due in either Monday 4th or Tuesday 5th of February.

Homework

This week for homework the children will be coming home with word problems based on the 3/6 times tables. Some children will be given a different piece of homework and this will also be about times tables.

Alongside this, the children need to read at least 3 times to an adult. We would also like the children to try and access times tables rock stars at least twice (where possible).

The spellings for this week will be found below and will be tested on Thursday 31st January. They are having the test a day early due to music day on the Friday.

Homework – Week 3

This week for homework the children will be given one of the following:

1 star – Adverbs activity.

2/3 Star – Tenses activity (please see the help sheet if needed).

Alongside the above the children will also have new spellings to learn, which will be tested Friday 25th January.

Spellings Wk 3

We would kindly ask that the children read 3 times to an adult during the week. Finally, due to the great success of times tables rock stars we are asking that the children can access this at least once or twice during the next week. From what we’ve heard so far, the children love it and it’s making a difference already!

As it is ‘future me day’ on Monday, a ‘talk homework’ will be coming home. This is for you and your child to discuss what they would like to be when they are older ready for dressing up on Monday. This does not have to be written down, it can be just a discussion.

Homework is due in Monday 21st or Tuesday 22nd January.

Have a lovely weekend!

FLU SPRAY TOMORROW

The NHS are in school tomorrow offering the flu spray to children in Years 3, 4 and 5.  However they will only receive the spray if we have a completed permission form.

There are 75 children who have not sent a form into school; please note that if this is not received in the morning they will not get the flu spray.

Please collect a form from the office if you need one.

Christmas Play!

Please be aware that the Christmas play is on the 13th of December (tomorrow) not September.

We can’t wait for you to see it but September is a quite a while away!
