6B Science Experiment

Class 6B carried out an experiment in science today. We used torches, mirrors and protractors to look at the incident ray and see how it is reflected off at exactly the same angle.

Year 5 and 6 – BBS music assembly!

What a fantastic assembly year 5 and 6 had this afternoon with some staff from BBS. They were lucky enough to listen to some different instruments from the woodwind and brass families! Some children were even able to learn Mary had a little lamb in 5 minutes!

We will shortly be sending home letters for anyone who would be interested in lessons with a woodwind or brass instrument.

A big thank you to BBS for coming to our school! We all loved it!

Year 5 & 6 Movie Making Club

Well done to my Year 5&6 Movie Makers!

This week, we learnt how to add sound to a JPEG file. This was done using the app Chatterkid and the children had lots of fun doing it.

Next week, we will be learning to use a BRAND NEW software called “Adobe Express” where will learn how to add sound to animation.

See you again for another fun session!

6B Science

If any members of 6B have a torch at home, could they possibly bring it into school tomorrow, so that we can using it during science please?

Thanks!

6J Tag Ruby Session 3

6J loved their tag rugby lesson in the rain today! We worked on passing to a team mate as we approach the defensive line, and how to ensure our attacking team remain onside. Next lesson, we are hoping to put our skills to use in some small sided games.

6B Beech’s Base

Thank you to Miss Lockwood for a wonderful session in Beech’s Base with 6B today. The children had a wonderful time making sun dials, using a torch.

Well done everyone!

6B Beech’s Base tomorrow

Dear parents of 6B,

A quick message to remind you that the class have Beech’s Base tomorrow afternoon and need to come to school with their forest school clothes in their bags.

We have school photos in the morning and so the children need to come to school dressed in their uniform.

Thanks!

Mrs B
