6J Eat Well Session

6J had their Eat Well workshop yesterday; they learned about the main food groups, which foods are helpful for their development and how to sort food into the correct groups. It was a really useful session and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.

Year 6 Eatwell Workshop

Well done to year 6 for completing an Eatwell Workshop today. They completed an interactive, healthy food wheel and got to place where they food certain food should go. Well done year 6.

6J Maths – Division using Place Value

6J had an amazing maths lesson today: we looked at the concept of short division using a pictorial and concrete approach. We used the place value counters to represent our dividend and exchanged them where necessary. Visualising the learning really helped the children to develop their understanding of the procedure.

6B debate

6B had fun in their English lesson today. We set up a debate, where one half of the class were arguing for wolves being reintroduced into England and the other half were arguing against.

They followed the rules for a debate and tried to use emotive language. This debate will really help them when it comes to writing a balanced argument at the end of this week.
