NJS Swimming Galas at Newport Pool – Yr 5!

Here is a reminder about the Swimming Galas that all children take part in at Newport Pool.

Please remember –

We will be leaving NJS at 1.20pm, walking to the pool – the children need to be dressed appropriately. Our swimming time is 2-3pm, you as parents are then welcome to come along and support your child on their given teams date. Children can then be picked up directly from the pool, after their swimming galas. We request that only one adult per child attends to watch the galas – and no photos or video footage to be taken.

The pool have also requested that parents do not arrive too early, another school has the session before us and parents will not be allowed to enter until 2pm due to safeguarding requirements.

Thursday 27th April – Red and Blue House children

Thursday 6th May – Yellow and Green House children

Yr 3 Edgmond Hall Residential

Dear Parents,

Only 5 sleeps to go until the Edgmond Hall trip!! I thought I’d take this opportunity to give you a few reminders for the few days away.

Please remember we are walking to Edgmond and your children are carrying their own belongings! Please pack wisely!!
Medication – this needs to be clearly labelled and have a letter of authorisation to administer with instructions for when/how etc. This all needs to be placed in our medical box which will be located in the hall upon arrival.
Please come to school on Wednesday 20^th at normal time and escort your child to the school hall, our meeting point.
Please label everything from pants to towels – everything needs to be labelled with your child’s name.
Children should NOT bring aerosols, electrical equipment, a massive amount of sweets, they will be given sufficient whilst there!
Adults attending the residential are Mr Moody, Mr Lawson, Mr Tipton, Mrs Humphries, Miss Smith & Mr Leonard.
