Football Day!
What a day for NJS football! 5/6 boys, 3/4 girls and 5/6 girls all made it to the Telford Sports Partnership finals that were played at TCAT over the day.
Huge thanks to all at TWSSP for their organisation and TCAT for hosting. As always none of this is possible without the immense commitment of the staff; Mr Humphries and Mrs Wood especially today.
Year 5/6 boys V Edgmond… soooo close! 2-2 and went to extra time. Then penalties and sadly it wasn’t to be for NJS. They played superbly and we are very proud.
Year 3/4 girls V Albrighton won 3-1! Well done to this team they were super with excellent team work.
Year 5/6 girls V Grange Park, 2-2 at full time. 3-2 to NJS after extra time! Our year 5/6 girls have done the treble Congratulations to them all.
What a day!
URGENT: Year 6 photography
ALL children who attended the photography workshop last week at Chetwynd Deer Park have the opportunity to submit a photo into the competition and have it displayed at the showground.
We currently have 59 photos, so quite a few outstanding. It would be great for all of our children to share their work in this event.
For your photograph to be submitted it MUST be emailed to max.jones9@taw.org.uk by 7.30pm today.

Visit to Telford Mosque
On Monday, the Year 5 children will be attending Telford Mosque. This trip has been set up through our link with Hollinswood Multicultural Service and has been planned to follow up on the Year 5 Beliefs and Values topic of Islam.
During the visit, the children will have an opportunity to explore the Mosque, making comparisons between the building and a Christian church, ask questions to the Imam and also be able to make links between the classroom-based learning they have done and what this looks like in reality. This is a really exciting opportunity for the children and one we are very much looking forward to.
For the upcoming visit to the mosque, the children will be required to come to school prepared with the following:
- School uniform is appropriate for visiting the mosque however as much skin as possible needs to be covered. For example: tights to be worn, leggings, jumpers/cardigans (down to wrists).
- All children are required to wear a head covering: girls are required to wear a scarf to cover their hair. Boys are required to bring a hat or cap to cover their hair also.
