Year 4’s trip to the Sea Life Centre on Monday 7th of October

Dear Parents and Guardians,

A polite reminder that on Monday and Tuesday next week, year 4 will be going to the Sea Life Centre in Birmingham. If you have not yet returned your slip, please make sure your child returns it tomorrow. Also, could we remind you that all children will need to be in Newport Junior school uniform on these days.

Following from this, although there is a mufti day where children can wear pyjamas and other sleep apparel on Monday, children who will be attending the trip on Monday need to wear school uniform. The children in Mrs Sisson’s class will be reminded tomorrow which day they are going.

Kind regards,

Year 4 team

Please support the PTA Cake Sale

PTA Cake Stall this Friday 4th October.

Any donations of home baked or shop bought cup cakes, slices, biscuits etc greatly received.

We will be selling them Friday afternoon at pick just as you come through the gates onto the playground, £1 a plate.

Many thanks

5L emails for websites

In 5L as part of our ICT and Topic lessons we are creating a website. To do this we needed to create a Gmail account in pairs.

I would like to alert parent to this fact and address that I have linked all accounts to my own school email address so I have access if needed. I have also asked children not to use this account at home to access the google.sites projects or to communicate with anyone. Please could this be supported by parents.

However I am very happy for the children to use what they have learnt at home and will be excited to see any webpages made using parents Gmail accounts.

I will give the children time to finish their pages tomorrow and look forward to seeing them published, I hope to share the webpages with yourselves as well.

All the best,

Mr Lawson
