Arthog Residential – Last minute reminders!

Please find some last minute reminders for Arthog next week.

Reminder: last letter

If you have any issues over the weekend please email me and I will do what I can to support you ben.moody@taw.org.uk

If you need to make any changes to your child’s medical form, then please speak to a member of staff on Monday morning!

If your child is not attending the Arthog residential they are expected at school as normal.

Many thanks

Mr M

Activities for those not attending Arthog

Those children not going to Arthog have a week of activities planned including a walk around Newport, including a trip to Greggs and DT modelling.

Please ensure you have given permission to do the walk to Greggs on parentpay. Children can bring up to £5 with them to spend.

Also, I would really appreciate any cardboard boxes, plastic milk bottle tops and other pieces of tin foil sent in to help us make our model buggies. The children will also need a small plastic bottle to make a lava lamp with.

Thank you in advance for the contents of your recycling bin!

5OP Celebrate World Mental Health Day

5OP have showed their support for World Mental Health Day by wearing scarves. Our special day at NJS has been dedicated to Mrs Green who loved to wear a scarf and was passionate in everything she did. SCARF represents values for children of Safety, Caring, Achievement, Resilience and Friendship.

What a week Isla 5OP!

Isla has been busy selling raffle tickets this week to raise money for Children with Cancer UK to win a beautiful hamper that she has created.  What an amazing idea Isla and so much money raised for a wonderful charity.

5OP are very proud of Isla coming third in the whole school for the NSPCC Rocks Battle in school!

5OP Win first place in NSPCC rocks at NJS!

We were delighted to hear that 5OP were the winning class at NJS last week in the TTRS competition Mr Parker organised with NSPCC Rocks.  NJS as a school also finished in the top 10% of over 4000 primary and secondary schools that took part in the UK!
