RE: Yr. 5 Residential Visit to Arthog Monday 7th – Friday 11^th March 2022

Dear Parents,

I am writing to you regarding a residential visit to Arthog. This is now our Year 5 residential, and we have booked to take the Year 5’s in March 2022.

The visit is booked to take place from Monday 7^th to Friday 11^th March 2022.  During the visit the children will be taking part in a range of activities which will include, canoeing, rock climbing, orienteering, gorge walking and mountaineering amongst others.

The cost of the week will be £270. Children who are receiving free school meals or whose parents receive Child Tax Credit/Income Support will be eligible for remissions supported by the LEA.  Evidence of this entitlement will need providing with the first deposit. All payments are non-refundable.

If your child would like a place on the visit, you will receive a payment card.  This card needs to be handed in when making each payment so that we can confirm receipt. Please find a payment schedule below which will help to spread the costs of the trip.

By Friday 22^nd October                            –          £70 (This will confirm your child’s place)

By Friday 26^th November                        –          £70

By Friday 28^th January                           –          £70

By Friday 18^th February                          –          £60

If you would like your child to have a place on this residential, please return the slip below, with the first payment, by Friday 22^nd October. At this point your child will receive their payment card. Please note, a late first payment/deposit may result in your child not being assigned a place.

Yr. 4 Residential Visit to: Manor Adventure – Culmington Manor, Craven Arms.

Dear Parents/Carers of Year 4 Pupils

At Newport Junior School, we are very proud of the residential opportunities we offer all our children. They need commitment from our staff and parents to enable these invaluable experiences to take place

Following the success of previous year’s year 4 trip to Manor Adventure, we have provisionally booked places for our year 4 pupils from 4-6th April 2021.  The cost of the trip will be £190.

We appreciate that for many of you, that this will be the first-time you child has been away from home and you may be unaware of what that trip involves.  We have arranged a presentation/meeting to inform you about the trip and give you an opportunity to ask some questions.

We will be holding the meeting on Tuesday 5^th October at 3.30pm in the school hall.

At this meeting Mrs Green/Mrs Stanley will also be accepting a deposit/first payment of £60 which will ensure your child has a place. Places are limited on this residential, but as ever I will do all I can to include any of the children wishing to attend.
