Yr3 Non-Residential Children

Dear Parents and Carers,

If your child is not attending the residential at Edgmond Hall on Monday 14th and Tuesday 15th please could they attend school in comfy clothes. The children who are staying at school will be doing a variety of activities both indoors and outdoors over the two days so will need comfy clothes that can get muddy and dirty. The children at school will also benefit from a spare pair of shoes (trainers or PE kit trainers etc) if their shoes get muddy when they are doing the outside activities. Children will need lunches as normal.

We have some really exciting activities planned for the children who are staying at school!

Thank you for your continuing support,

The Year 3 Team

National Girls Football Day – Wed 9th March

On March 9th it is the National Gils Football day. We are signed up to the Girls Football charter and have pledged to support this day.

To celebrate it all the girls at NJS will be taking part in Girls football- run by Mrs Wood and Girls from Newport Girls Football Club.

During the day the Girls, from each year group, will have an hours football session from Mrs Wood, NO BOYS ALLOWED!!!

BOYS don’t worry – you’ll be doing indoor PE at the same time with your class teachers, however this will NOT be indoor football!

Girls can come to school in football kits and boys can come into school in PE kits for the day.

Kindest regards

Mr Moody & Mrs Wood

Year 3 lost belongings

Dear parents and carers,

As we are taking part in many activities which require children to change their clothes, please check that your child’s clothing and belongings are clearly labelled with their name and class, and that they have brought home their own clothing today.

3B Boys
Following swimming today, Dexter in 3B has had his trousers taken by another child. Please could all parents of 3B boys check their child’s trousers belong to them?

Swimming Kits

Harry in 3B has lost a swimming kit, in a royal blue bag. Please could you check to see that your child does not have this? If so please return it ASAP. Thank you.

Finally, we are searching for some Spider-Man wellies which have gone missing. Please return them if you find them and they do not belong to your child.

Thank you for your continued support.

Kind regards,

Year 3 team.

Year 3 Visit Tomorrow

Dear Year 3 parents and carers,

Year 3 will be walking to St Nicholas’ church on Monday 14th in the afternoon. While there we will meet Revernd Merry and complete some activities. Children will need a coat for the walk and their usual named water bottle please. All three classes will be walking up together with staff and will be back for the end of the day as normal.
We are really looking forward to the children having an introduction to our school church.
Have a great weekend,

Mrs P 👩🏻
