Half Term Homework

Morning,

It would be really useful if children could continue reading at least 3 x a week and recording it in their reading diaries. This week we have spoken to the children about meaningful comments in their reading diary, additional House Points will be given to reward these!

Please could children also continue with Times Table Rock Stars  over the half term.

Above all, we hope you enjoy spending the week with your children 🙂

Wednesday 23rd October @ NJS

On Wednesday 23rd it is whole school mufti for a £1, funds will be going towards the New and Improved Quiet Area.

The PTA Disco is also on Wednesday 3-5pm. Entry to the disco is a £1 and there will be drinks, crisps, sweets & fruit for sale at an additional cost – we advise no more than £4.

Upper School(Yrs 5&6) will have their disco 3-4pm then they will go to the Victoria Block for a movie so can be collected at 5pm from the Victorian Block.

Lower School (Yrs3&4) will have their movie first then into the hall 4-5pm for the disco, they can be collected at 5pm from the school hall.

Year 4 Homework Due 25th October

Hi

Please find attached the homework and spellings for this week.

The Emoji homework is all on the same document – 1, 2 and 3 star challenges with answers! The children will have the relevant work sheet for them stuck in their homework book.

Year 4 Science

Please can your child bring in a torch (if you have one, do not go out and buy one!) next week as our topic for Science will be creating shadows.

Swimming!

Due to parents evening we have moved swimming to Monday so please ensure the children remember to bring in their kit.

4J Class Assembly

This afternoon we have discussed outfit choices for next week. We have suggested wearing bright colourful dresses/skirt and top (60s style if possible) or trousers and a bright colourful shirt.

Please don’t feel like you have to spend any money on the outfits. We have all discussed wardrobes and anything along the lines of above is perfectly fine.

If the children could bring in their outfits by next Wednesday, we can do a full dress rehearsal Thursday and Friday.

We are really looking forward to sharing our assembly with you next Friday!
