Year 3 Egyptian Day tomorrow (Wednesday 14th January)

Dear Parents and Carers,

Just a reminder that tomorrow is Egyptian Day for Year 3. This exciting event will be in the school hall, with ‘The History Man’, Mr David Cadle, who has been doing this for many years now. We will be learning about Ancient Egyptian history and culture, as well as taking part in Ancient Egyptian Drawing, Writing, dressing up, Games and Arts & Crafts.

Children can come dressed like an Ancient Egyptian, with homemade or bought costumes, and have been reminded today about this, and in the week preceding this one. For ideas, please google ‘Homemade Ancient Egyptian costumes’ or something similar.

Finally, as there is still a small, but significant number of children whose parents are yet to sign up, please ensure that you check you have seen the information about the day on ParentPay and sign to give permission for your child to take part in the day.

Thank you for your continued support,

The Year 3 Team

Yr 3 – Mrs J DT Request…

For Monday please can all children, who can, bring into school clean yogurt pots. They need to be the “fromage frais” sized pots, which will be used as buckets for the children’s Egyptian Shadufs!

Many thanks

Thank you!

Thank you so much for the incredibly thoughtful and generous Christmas gifts. I am truly touched by your kindness. It is a genuine privilege to teach your children, and your support makes my work so rewarding. I hope you all have a wonderful, restful holiday break filled with joy and quality time with your families, and I look forward to seeing everyone back in the classroom in the new year!
