Just a reminder that if your child wishes to have their homework efforts rewarded, please send in their completed projects / Orange books in, by the end of Thursday this week.

Children will be tested on their spellings this week.

Year 3 Homework project and spelling test

Dear Parents / Carers,

Just a quick reminder that the Year 3 Roman shield project work is due in by the end of this week, and that spellings will be tested by your child’s class teacher during next week. If you have already brought in your shield, well done! Hopefully, if enough are completed and brought in, we will engage the children in an interactive Roman army demonstration!

Please bring in any work completed in homework books, for house point rewards.

3P will NOT be attending Beeches Base on Monday 13th

Dear parents,

3P will NOT be attending Beeches Base on Monday 13th December as it is Christmas dinner day. Children are invited to wear Christmas jumpers and join in the festivities tomorrow lunch and afternoon in class!

I will rearrange our Beeches Base visit in the new year and let you know the new date.

KS2-Spelling-Menu Games

Please find attached the homework and spellings sheet for this half term. We will be testing the children on their spellings sometime on or after Wednesday 8th December. 

On the sheet, you will find details of their English, Maths and Foundation  project to complete this half term. Please try to encourage your child to complete a small amount for the project each week, and not to leave things until the last minute!

We also ask you to encourage your child to form good learning habits, by practicing Times Tables little and often, using TTRS regularly or by some other means, reading every day, and at least weekly for the spellings. This can be rewarded at home, and will definitely be rewarded in school!

Year 3 Homework

Dear Parents,

Homework is due on Monday 18th October. Your child will be tested in school on the spellings that they have been learning at home. Please send in your child’s homework book so we can mark and give out house points.

Year 3 suspension of Spellings and Homework this half term

Dear Parents,

Following a review, there will be no requirement for Year 3 children to complete the spelling test and homework issued earlier this term.

Instead, work will be completed in class over the coming weeks, via the home learning resources, as an English focus. We hope this reduces any anxiety around this.

Apologies if you have already completed work on this, but at least it will stand your child in good stead for when we do return to school. Please send in photos of this work if you would like us to respond to it.
