Dear Parents,

We hope you are all keeping safe!

We have planned some activities you could do with the children during these strange times!

Please remember you can supplement these activities with TTRS, reading and the half termly homework if you desire to.

For those who need access to the phonics reading books, please use the Read, Write, Inc link attached. https://home.oxfordowl.co.uk/reading/reading-schemes-oxford-levels/read-write-inc-phonics-guide/

We will update the tasks daily.

3W Class Assembly – Friday 6th March 2:50pm

Dear Parents,

You will find this letter in the bottom of school bags!

Please could you support your child at home to learn their lines and the songs to ensure our performance is the best it can be!

With regard to costumes, please could you send your child in with their World Book Day costume on Friday morning (6th March) in a bag with their name on please.

We will aim to start the performance at 2:50 and should be about 20 minutes long as we know many of the children have brothers and sisters who need collecting from other schools.

Any questions please do not hesitate to ask either by homelink diary or by seeing me on the playground.

Thank you for your continuing support.

3W Class Assembly 2020 Letter

PJ’s – Monday 7th October

Dear Parents/Guardians

Please accept my apologies for not being able to get this published before today. I’ve had some technical difficulties but it’s here now!

Here is the letter that went home on Thursday 3rd October regarding PJ’s and the sleep initiative being run by School Council.

Children are to wear PJ’s or comfy clothes (whatever they prefer) with outdoor shoes on Monday 7th. This is to support School Council in raising awareness for a good nights sleep.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Message from School Council

Dear Parents and Carers

As you are aware, the children of NJS have been unable to do their swimming lessons for the past few months. This is because of the work currently happening which started on the 7 January. All the contractors and workers have worked really hard and are doing an amazing job. This new, amazing swimming pool is getting even better every day – it is going to be fabulous!

We (School Council) were able to visit the pool recently to see the changes that have been made. The contractors are redoing practically everything! We have new windows, doors, floors and walls. We have learnt that the floor sealer used takes one week to go off. On top of this will go a grey flooring which will have resin on top to make it smooth for bare feet. The new windows are triple glazed to keep the warmth in, the walls have already been plaster boarded and plastered. When they are painted the new colour scheme will be white and pale grey. Another of the changes that we talked about is the door being made wider so a wheelchair can fit through.

The pool itself will be the same size as before. Non swimmers please don’t worry about the depth because it will be the same! It has had a new blue lining to help keep it protected. The pool will also have all new filters so it is really important we all wear our swimming caps to make sure the filters are looked after.

Before, there were lots of problems with the pool. It didn’t work properly and the surroundings weren’t always nice. But that is now a thing of the past! Our new pool is going to be amazing. It will be something to be proud of. School Council are also taking responsibility to help Steph keep it clean and new. We are all very excited about when the pool opens in March and can’t wait to get swimming!

Thank you for your support.
