A big congratulations to the 15 super rounders players who took part in the tournament at Charlton school on Tuesday! It was a very hot day in the sun but despite the heat the children played brilliantly, finishing 4th in our pool. Well done, team! Thank you very much to parents who helped out with transport. 5H Class Debate
Our Literacy work this week is balanced arguments based on the proposed rabbit farm in Gnosall. 5H had a fantastic debate yesterday and, despite some of us having strong views on the issue, everyone managed to see the argument from both points of view. The debate ended with ‘against’ as the winners. Well done Team 5H! x
Year 5 reminder
A reminder that there is no homework for Year 5 this week.
Music Day 6.4.17
On Thursday, we held NJS Music Day. Children spent time in the morning doing musical activities with their class teacher, such as drumming, singing, percussion with Peter and the Wolf and The Cup Song. They then visited music workshops in different classrooms. In each session they focused on a musical period in history, a famous composer and some key musical terminology. We ended the day with a music assembly, where we heard performances from Lawley Primary children playing keyboards, vocalists from the Girls’ High and some of our own NJS musicians too! (A special well done to Rebecca, Daniel, Charlie and Isobel!) The children had a great day and learnt lots.
Thanks to Telford and Wrekin Music for their super work in assembly. If anyone is interested in music lessons from Telford and Wrekin Music for their child, please contact Miss H.
