Manor Adventure Update!

Team Manor Adventure have had a great start to their residential.  Each group has taken part in an activity including bouldering, abseiling, orienteering and fencing.

The children ate their tea and are settling into the centre well!

The staff team are going to upload photos as and when they can (and when rural wifi allows!).

REMINDER: Mufti day on Friday

PTA have organised mufti on Friday in exchange for an Easter egg!

Easter eggs can be won back at Easter Bingo which is being held in the NJS Hall on Friday from 6.15pm.

Ringwood School World Tour

Wow, NJS have been treated this afternoon….our friends at Adams Grammar School asked if we would host Ringwood School from Australia for a performance to our pupils, I am very pleased we said yes!

The students from Australia have been staying with friends from Adams Grammar school and have completed several performances in the area.  Their performance was exceptional and our children were a wonderful audience.  They know lots more about Australian culture now too.

5H April FOOLS! Ha ha ha

Some photos of 5H busily preparing the grass on the field for ‘a photographer’ this morning. The grass just wasn’t green enough! They also needed to find out how many blades there were in each hula hoop of grass, just in case it wasn’t thick enough for the photos! The children got up to 752 blades between them and then lost count. Ha ha ha APRIL FOOLS!

Year 5 Cookery Club!

Cookies on Wednesday!  Please can children bring a tin.

Please can any children who have borrowed containers from the kitchen make sure they are returned!

Year 3 Roman Day Monday 8th April

Dear parents,

Roman Day Letter History man

Children in all Year 3 classes should have brought home a letter by now about Roman Day on Monday 8th April.

Please find attached the letter for this. The cost of the day will be £4.50 per child. Please return the permission slip and any voluntary contribution to your child’s class teacher as soon as possible.

We are hoping the children will enter into the spirit of the day and dress in Roman costume (the simplest being a white single sheet pinned, to look like a toga – see Google for how to do this at very low or no cost).

Thank you for your continued support,

The Year 3 Team

Year 3 spellings and homework to be tested 5.4.19

Year 3 Spellings and Homework week 11 to be tested 5.4.19

Dear parents,

Please find attached the year 3 spellings and homework.

Children can begin to bring in their shields from Monday 1st April next week. On Wednesday 3rd April, we will be completing an evaluation of their shield, so it would be very helpful if we could have all of them in school by then please.

Thank you for your support,

The Year 3 team.
