Red Nose Day – Friday 15th March

Comic Relief Day is this Friday and the School Council have been giving some thought as to how we can help raise money.

On Friday children can come to school dressed in their pyjamas, dressing gowns and slippers! (A change of shoes will be needed for walking to school and for playing outside at playtime). Children will pay £1 to come in their PJs.

Children may also wear their Red Noses if they have one.

We will be holding a Danceathon during the day, where all classes will have time in the hall to dance for Red Nose Day.

As well as this the school council will to start a Joke Box Challenge.

For a donation of 20p children can put a joke into the Joke Box. They may add more than one joke, but each joke will be 20p.

Teachers will be asked to pull out jokes from the joke box to share with the whole school in assembly that day.

Year 3 homework and spellings for 15.3.19

Dear Parents,

Today children should have come home with their spellings and homework in their orange homework books, to be tested 15.3.19. They should also have a copy of their shield design page for creating their actual shield, and criteria for making their shield. The finished design is due at school by 1st April (no earlier please).

Thank you.

Year 3 week 9 spellings to be tested 15.3.19

Homework

This week the children will be given a science challenge as it is National Science Week next week. The children need to invent a new method of travel for the future. As well as a picture, we would like an explanation of how it works, what it can do and how it would be powered.

This is a part of a competition running in the school with prizes for the best 2 entries for each year group.

Alongside the task above, the children will be set new spellings to be tested next Friday (15th) and will also have times tables rock stars homework.

Below are the spellings for this week.
