Y6 homework due 26th September

Year 6 this week are being asked to complete the following homework:

1. Read at least 3 times to an adult and ask the adult to sign the reading record. Encourage your children to add their own comments also.

2. Learn spellings. Complete detailed sentences and write definitions of each spelling word in the list.

3. Complete the maths sheet on factors. We have worked on factors this week. Children need to use their tables knowledge to identify pairs of factors for the numbers given.
For example: 45 – 1, 3, 5, 9, 15, 45

Have a good weekend!

Year 3 Parent Readers

Dear parents,

All Year 3 classes are looking for parent readers to volunteer and help us to hear readers in the afternoons. All volunteers must be subject to DBS checks. If you are interested and would be available to volunteer some hours in the afternoons, please let the Year 3 teachers know.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Many thanks for all your help!

3J Reading

Could parents please ensure that they are hearing their children read and are recording it in the yellow reading diary every night. Children should also be recording independent reading that they do in their diaries as well – every little helps!

The children know that in the 3J class, the more times they read the more house points they can earn!

Good luck reading guys! Can’t wait to give out all the house points!

Year 6 STAR Project

Year 6 have begun the STAR project today with West Mercia Police.  We take part in this alcohol and drug awareness programme for Year 6 pupils each year.  Children complete booklets which they will bring home later in the term.
