I shared with the children in assembly today the exciting news that we are going to be placing a time capsule into the floor of our new classroom building. We discussed what a time capsule is and what kinds of things could go into a time capsule.

A half term challenge for any child who wants to have a go is to plan what they might like to place in the time capsule.

The sheet below can be printed off and returned to Mr Rotherham after half term with their ideas.

Time Capsule

This week at Global Avengers, we have been looking at Courageous Advocates – people who were brave enough to stand up for what they believed in, and spoke up for those who weren’t able to speak for themselves. People like Greta Thunberg, Martin Luther King Jr, Mother Teresa & Malala Yousafazi.

Each Avengers researched a Courageous Advocate and is preparing some information to present to each class teacher after half term. This figure will then be used within class to encourage the children to become the next generation of Courageous Advocates themselves.

A big thank you to Miss Watson and the School Council for raising the importance of a good nights sleep and the effects it has on our physical and mental health.

Harry, Maria, Jacob and Sylvia were the overall best sleepers at NJS!

They have won some super soft throws for their beds!
