ParentsCarers Meeting October 21

This letter was sent home last week enabling you to book an appropriate appointment with your class teacher. If you haven’t returned your slip to your class teacher please do so as soon as possible.

You should have received a time slot for your appointment and teachers are looking forward to meeting you.

Please can we remind you that slots are limited to 10 minutes.  Teachers will do their very best to keep to timings but if a teacher is delayed please can we ask for your patience; there could be many reasons for this.

If you are attending your appointment in school please arrive through the security gate and then make your way around the back of school to the school hall.  If you wish you will be able to take your child home with you after your appointment: please return to the school office after you have finished in the hall and we will arrange for your child to come to you.

Mr Moody sent a message yesterday about our visit to church and meeting the children there at 8.45am.  The service will start at 9am so we ask children arrive between 8.45am and 9am.  (Wardens will not open church until 8.45am so please don’t arrive early.)

If you need to you can bring your child to NJS at 8.30am (to the security gate) and your child can walk to church accompanied by school staff.

Due to lots of date clashes with our school diary and church we have had to move our Harvest festival from Wed 13th October to Tuesday 19th October at 8.45am.

Instead of coming to school at 8.45am – children are asked to meet their class teachers at church – where registers etc will be taken.

Our church is St.Nicholas’ Church situated on the High Street.

Church wardens will open the church when the first staff arrive, so please do not arrive before 8.45am.

We are asking for donations for Newport foodbank – nothing fresh. At present the foodbank are in need of:

The kitchen would like to let you know that they have made a permanent menu change: Week 2 Monday will be lasagne.

We have a vacancy for a lunchtime supervisor!

If you would like to join our NJS team and support children over the lunchtime period we would like to hear from you!

The hours of work are 12pm-1.30pm daily.

Please can we ask for your support if your child is attending a club that takes place after school:

*If children cannot attend a club that they have signed up for please notify the office so that staff are not looking for them.

*Children need to attend the club they have signed up for and not move between clubs!

*Please collect promptly at 4.15pm

*Please wait for your child through the black gates closest to Avenue Road South.  Children will be dismissed through the double green gates at 4.15pm.

*For the safety of the staff and children please do not try to access school site: children will be brought to you for dismissal.
