OFSTED REPORT CLARIFICATION
NOTE: A few people have asked why the report refers to reinspection by 2025: this is a reference to a SIAMS Inspection (Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools) which is a Section 48 inspection we now anticipate within the next 12 months.
Our next OFSTED inspection is anticipated in 4+ years time unless anything should change in the meantime.

Y5 Solar System Dome Experience
Please see the attached letter for an exciting opportunity for the children. Please be aware that 5J children will need to be in school for 8.30am on this date due to the first show starting at 8.45am.
Dismissal of children at the end of the day…..
Please can we ask parents/carers to support school staff to ensure that children are dismissed safely at the end of the day. Classes will be lined up and teachers will dismiss children in turn one:one to ensure they oversee how they are leaving site.
Please be prepared and understanding that you may have to wait a moment in order for this to happen safely.
We thank you for your support.

6J Beech’s Base Reminder
6J will be in Beech’s Base on Wednesday 10th January 2024.
Children are welcome to come to school in their forest clothes and bring a spare change with them if they wish. Alternatively, they can also attend in uniform and change into their forest clothes at lunch time.
This week they will be making their own trebuchets using natural materials as part of their work on The Tudors.
Please be advised, the field/forest has been affected by the recent weather, so children are told they must bring wellies with them as trainers would not be suitable.
Y5 Newport Walk
For our History topic this term, we will be studying Newport and looking at some historic locations and their significance in the town. To help the children’s understanding with this, each class will be going for a guided walk around the town with their class teacher over the next two weeks during the school day. The children will be back at school as usual for 3.15.
5M – Friday 12th January
5J – Monday 15th January
5P – Thursday 18th January
