6J Eat Well Session

6J had their Eat Well workshop yesterday; they learned about the main food groups, which foods are helpful for their development and how to sort food into the correct groups. It was a really useful session and the children thoroughly enjoyed it.

6J Maths – Division using Place Value

6J had an amazing maths lesson today: we looked at the concept of short division using a pictorial and concrete approach. We used the place value counters to represent our dividend and exchanged them where necessary. Visualising the learning really helped the children to develop their understanding of the procedure.

Class 3B English topic

Today the children enjoyed starting a new book for their English lesson focus – ‘Stone Age Boy’. This ties in nicely with our upcoming trip to the Shropshire Hills centre in the final week of this half term, and our History topic, Stone Age to Iron Age.

3B Eatwell sessions

Many thanks to Lydia from T&W for her session today on food and nutrition in Class 3B and 3M. We had some fun with the ‘Eatwell’ plate!
