Year 3 Swimming – reminder

Dear Parents,

This is just a reminder that tomorrow, Red and Blue house children will need swimming kits, as they are swimming on Monday 7th June at Newport Pool, in the afternoon. 

Please circulate this message with other parents in Year 3, so the message is heard!

Also, ALL Year 3 children need swimming kits on TUESDAY this week, for swimming lessons at school.

Mr Men and Little Miss Day!

Some great costumes to see today. Thank you for all the effort that has gone into these costumes. The children have had a fantastic week. Creating their own characters, writing their own stories and producing leaflets and books.

Year 3 additional swimming dates for first two weeks back after half term.

Dear Parents and Carers of Year 3,

Please note that due to Newport Pool visits, Year 3 will also swim on the following dates during the first two weeks back after half term:

Tuesday 8th June

Tuesday 15th June

Please ensure that ALL children from ALL house teams have their swimming kits on these days.

After this date, Year 3 swimming will revert to Mondays.

Year 3 PE kits required all week.

Dear parents,

This is a reminder to ensure your children bring in their normal PE kits on a Monday, to keep in school and take home on a Friday.

Currently, we are doing swimming lessons on Mondays, but we also try to do a separate PE lesson each week in addition to this. Unfortunately, due to bubble organisation rules and timetabling of other events, it is not always easy to predict which day we will be doing PE, so we require the children to be prepared for PE on any given day.

Thank you for your support with this – we appreciate the efforts you are making to prepare your children for their day!

Year 3 Swimming Gala dates at Newport Pool

Dear Parents,

New dates for the Swimming Galas for Year 3 at Newport Pool are as follows:

Monday 7th June 2pm – Red and Blue house teams only.

Monday 14th June 2pm – Yellow and Green house teams only.

It is currently my understanding that, unfortunately, parents are not allowed to spectate at the pool. Therefore, the children will complete the galas in the normal school day, and walk back to school afterwards. Please collect your children from the usual place at school.

After the galas, we will be leaving the swimming baths at around 3pm, and we will do our best to get them back to class for 3:20pm. However, there is potential for them to be slightly late (not later than 3:30pm) arriving back. Apologies if this is the case on your child’s gala day.
