Tea Stained/Oven Baked Paper!

For our work on Ancient Egyptians – the children will need a piece of tea stained/oven baked paper – approximately the size of a A4 piece of paper!

We hope to produce some artwork of the children as Ancient Egyptian royalty – as a self portrait!

Many thanks

5H home learning: Ellie-Mae’s science

This week 5H have done some science as part of their home learning. I was so impressed by Ellie-Mae’s parachute that she has made and tested to learn about air resistance! Well done Ellie-Mae x Ellie-Mae parachute2

5H Parents and Carers….

Dear 5H Parents and Carers,

Firstly can I thank you all for your support during this period of isolation for the 5H staff and children: we are incredibly grateful to you for working with us in these tricky circumstances.

We really hope that we have supported you during this period: we have tried to ensure we support staff with ill health and personal circumstances alongside ensuring that the curriculum continues to progress for the children.  We aimed to achieve a blend of online and independent learning with a priority on pupil wellbeing and maintaining relationships.

If you feel able please can you complete the attached survey with any feedback for us.  We clearly hope to avoid further bubble closure at NJS but should this be necessary we will be able to use this feedback to review our approach.  We would be grateful if you would not mention staff or pupil names:

5H will reopen on Monday and we are really looking forward to welcoming the children back into school on this date (23rd November).

Please take some time to talk to your child about the return: reassure them that it is safe, that staff and friends are excited to see them and about the routines for attending school.

Your child should NOT return to school if they, or a member of the household, are symptomatic (cough, high temperature or loss of taste or smell).  Please notify school of the situation (01952 386600) and book a test online.  If the test result is negative your child will of course be able to return.

Thank you, as always, for your ongoing support.

5H home learning day 7 Wednesday 18th November

Hello there 5H! Thank you again for joining me on the Teams meeting this morning. Once again I loved seeing and chatting with you all! You are all working very hard at home and should be proud of yourselves. Here is your home learning for tomorrow. I will be doing another Teams with you at 10.00am so I look forward to seeing you then. I am going to go through the English with you, quickly chat about the maths and read a few more chapters of the story we started today. See ya tomorrow! Love Miss H xxx

Also, we have something really exciting planned for next week…a trip! I have attached the letter below and Mrs Moody is going to send it via Parentmail as well. I will give you a paper copy of the letter next week so you can return the slip then – this electronic version is just for your information.
