REMINDER: Year 6 Parent/Carer Meeting, Monday 13th February 5.30pm
Just a reminder that on Monday 13th February at 5.30pm we are hosting a workshop for Year 6 parents in the school hall.
This session will support you in understanding the statutory SAT assessments that your child will take in May. We will also be explaining how you can support your children in the build up to the assessments: with a priority on supporting their emotional wellbeing.
We hope as many of you as possible can attend this session which is likely to last an hour.
Children can join you for this if you wish them to hear the information we are sharing about the organisation and structure of the assessments.
Thank you for your support.

NJS Guardians of Safety – we’ve got new lanyards!
To make sure they are noticeable around school, the NJS Guardians of Safety have new lanyards! They are turquoise and yellow and will be worn at playtimes, so anyone at school can recognise them and go to them for help, advice or support.
Yr 3 & 6 PE Swap
Please note that tomorrow (Wednesday) will be PE for Yr 6 and Thursday will be PE for Yr 3. We have made this swap to accommodate staff availability to ensure that neither year group miss their PE session.
6J at Beech’s Base
Today at Beech’s Base 6J visited. Our theme was ‘Fairtrade’ linked to geographical work in class. We explored the how this began and why. The children made Rice Krispie cakes which linked to Fairtrade chocolate. As part of the topic the children roleplayed a trading style game and thoroughly enjoyed it 🙂
Well done for a super day 6J!

Y6 swimming MONDAY

Y6 church visit Tuesday
If you have not already given permission for your child to visit Holy Trinity Church on Tuesday morning, please could we ask you to go onto ParentPay and give consent. Many thanks, Mrs B
6B Beech’s Base
Just a quick reminder that 6B are at Beech’s Base all day Monday. They will be swimming first thing, and so need to remember to bring their swimming kits and spare clothes and shoes.
6B ART
Well done class 6B for some wonderful self portraits, in the style of the artist Julian Opie.
