Bike component naming activity for all pupils

Hello all of Newport Junior School

I have noticed over the past few weeks that more and more people are getting out on their bikes!

This is Fantatstic! I myself love biking and i am really pleased to see everyone out enjoying it.

I wanted to create a short activity to develop some learning off this exciting activity. Attached is a short PowerPoint helping you learn and label the different parts found on a bike.

Have a go and see how much you already know!

You can produce as much or as little as you like. If you would like to share anything you have done please feel free to send anything to myself on elliot.lawson@taw.org.uk

Please be aware there is no expectation for this activity to be completed, participation is fully optional. If you do not wish to print the sheet try taking it in turns to point at a part of the bike and see if you can name it.

Here are your maths slides for today: this is all about art in maths. Looking at some famous artists, impossible drawings and getting you to have a go at creating your own piece of art work linked to maths. Think about the shape, angles and patterns you can spot.

Yr 6 – Your turn….last call!!!

ALL VIDEOS OR IMAGES TO ME BY FRIDAY 1ST MAY AT 6PM PLEASE.

After the success of the staffs “Toilet Roll Challenge” and “The Grease Mega-Mix” Year 6 children it is over to you….

What I would like is NO MORE THAN 10 SECONDS of footage where you can show your friends having some fun during this lockdown time. I will collate them all – add some music and share with the NJS family so that all your friends in Year 6 can see you enjoying yourselves!

Using your FANTASTIC ICT SKILLS a challenge – can you super impose yourselves somewhere fun?? So footage of you at the Pyramids in Egypt or at the Nou Camp etc  or ACTUAL footage of you somewhere fun enjoying yourselves or just you having fun somewhere at home!!

Parents – if you would like your child to take part in this please send your child’s footage to:  ben.moody@taw.org.uk  – emphasising in the subject Yr 6 footage.

This week, Mr J has set a BOYS v GIRLS challenge on Times Tables Rock Stars!!

The battle will commence at 09:00 tomorrow morning and will end at 18:00 on Thursday 30th April.

Mr J will be announcing the top rockers from across the year group on Friday!
