Year 3 Chetwynd trip on Monday 10th June 9am-3.30pm

Dear Parents,

Chetwynd Deer Park

Just a reminder that by now, all children should have returned their reply slips and informed class teachers how they intend to get to and from the Deer Park – either walking with the teachers, or being driven there and back by parents.

Children should come dressed for the occasion – rain showers are forecast currently, but this may change, so please keep an eye on the weather. At the very least, children MUST bring a raincoat, just in case. Children may wear their own clothes for the day, plus a pair of sturdy walking boots/walking trainers / wellies – something that is comfortable and weatherproof, ideally.

Children should provide their own packed lunch and drink, unless already organised with the school kitchen. Please supply screw top plastic bottles or own bottles for drinks – no cartons/cans please).

Please ensure that your child is able to carry their belongings / lunch etc in a small rucksack or bag.

Children will be back for 3:30pm and can be collected in the usual way.

Regards,

The Year 3 Team.

Y6 homework

All Y6 children are expected to read and record their reading in their reading records.

Reading diaries are checked weekly and children are expected to read with an adult at least 3 times per week, plus read independently on a regular basis.

Please encourage your child to engage with reading!

Y6 Swimming

Reminder for Y6 children to bring in swimming kits, towels and swimming caps for Monday please. It is advisable that Y6 also bring in PE kits, especially those not going to London on Wednesday.

Year 4 P.E

On the run up to sports day we are asking that the children bring their P.E kit on a Monday and if they can stay at school (until we complete a session of P.E). This is due to the fact that we may do P.E on different days of the week and therefore cannot always say what day it will be on. Hopefully as the weather improves, we will be able to head out more often to help us prepare for sports day.

Homework

This week the children has some quick maths activities to complete. They are only short and will be testing what they can remember from the year.

This will be due in Monday 10th or Tuesday 11st of June.

Alongside the maths activity, the children need to read at least 3 times to an adult. New times tables rock stars will be online from Monday and that will be due Friday.

They have new spellings to learn and will be tested next Friday.

Have a great weekend!

Year 5 Cooking Club

Thank you to the wonderful cooks who have just completed cooking club.

The next group of cooks should have received their letters to start next week.  Club is on Wednesday at 12pm in the Bungalow.  We will be making a layered salad and you do not need to bring anything.
