3M Lunch and Learn

Wow, what a lot of parents we had this week for our lunch and learn!! They all came into class for a times table test and believe it or not some still got lots wrong!! But don’t worry, 3M helped the parents out by showing them strategies to learn their times tables with TTRS, multiplication snap, times tables dominoes and even times tables sung by Meghan Trainor and Taylor Swift!!

Discovery Centre Yr 3

We’ve all arrived safe and well and started our first activities – Wattle and Daub for a round house!!

Year 3 Discovery Centre Trip 24/10

Some reminders about our trip tomorrow (24/10/24)

  • Children are to come to to school in their uniform – they will need to wear different footwear – wellies/boots – suitable for being in the outdoors.
  • Children will also need their coats and maybe hat & gloves (depending on tomorrows weather!)
  • We all need a packed lunch. If your child is eligible for Free School Meals then a meal has been ordered for them.
  • We aim to be leaving NJS promptly by 9/9.10am at the latest and returning 3.15pm/3.30pm – all traffic dependent.
  • NJS staff will be taking any inhalers/medication required from NJS with them for the needs of the specific children.

Year 3 Parents Meetings
Thank you for your understanding today – it is much appreciated! We have been through the NJS diary and have Monday 4th November available to hold your meetings!
Please keep to the same timings as today so they’ll be no changes.

Year 3 Weekly Diary 21st-25th October

Please find below details for next week 21-25th October :

Monday – Both classes Parents Meetings – meeting times pre-arranged.

Tuesday – Some children to Cross-Country at 10am (they will still need school bags)

– Remaining children Swimming & normal school day

Wednesday – Any spelling/handwriting homework in if you’d like it marked so far!

Thursday – Year 3 Trip to Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre – Please see the original letter regarding this trip; please note we are planning to leave the Centre at 2.15pm, meaning we will be back at school promptly for 3.15pm – traffic dependant.

Friday  – PTA Mufti £2 (includes Movie in pm with snack treat!)

Connie’s Art Appreciation

I am really proud of Connie in 3M. Her art appreciation focusing on Claude Monet’s Water Lillies is superb. Well done Connie.

Yr 3 Discovery Centre Trip 24/10/24

Parents are reminded to check their ParentPay account for permissions for our Discovery Centre Trip on Thursday 24/10/24.

Unfortunately if these are not completed then your child may miss out on attending.

We currently only have 49/61 children signed up.

Year 3 Lunch and Learn: Tuesday 5th November

Year 3 Lunch and Learn letter

Please find attached a letter with details about Year 3 Lunch and Learn on the 5th November.

The menu on this date is pizza followed by chocolate sponge and custard.

We do need numbers by the end of Monday 21st October so if you wish to attend please do confirm this on ParentPay.
