Parents and Carers of NJS,

I would like to make you aware that OFSTED will be inspecting our school tomorrow and Thursday. We are looking forward to the opportunity to share the hard work carried out by our school family.

Friday 8th December…

National Christmas Jumper Day is Thursday but we will be marking this on Friday!  No charge… school uniform but replace your NJS jumper with a christmas one!  (please don’t feel you need to go out and buy a Christmas jumper for this occasion, any jumper will be more than fine.)

Christmas Jumper Day - Friday, 8 December 2023

At 8.20am you can meet Travel Telford on the Shuker Field Car Park for a Christmas Jumper Walking Bus!  Raising awareness for the benefits of walking to school.

Year 3 Christmas Play – Costumes and Attendance

Dear Parents and Carers,

Just a reminder to say that children need to bring their costumes in by the end of the week, but ideally before then. Hopefully, we will be able to do a dress rehearsal on Friday 8th December, and resolve any problems with these.

We have reminded the children of their responsibilities to be present at the performance, and we would really appreciate a full turnout of children on Monday 11th December, no earlier than 5:30pm, for 6pm start. The performance depends on it!

Please let us know of any issues with the above, as soon as possible.

PANTOMIME: URGENT

PantomimePantomime Visit Letter 2023

Pantomime visits take place on the 12th and 13th December, see a reminder on the letter attached.

Class 6B BB reminder!

Please remember that class 6B have Beech’s Base tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon! They will need to come to school wearing forest school clothes, with a spare pair of clothes and shoes in their bags. Thanks!

06.12.23 – Year 4 Music!

Good morning everyone,

This week year 4 have a fantastic opportunity to have a lesson within the music department at Burton Borough School. On Wednesday afternoon (06.12.23), we will be taking half of the year group at a time for a 45 minute lesson with the BBS music teachers.

As per the home school packs (signed at the start of the year), permission for local visits (like BBS) has already been agreed. Anyone who doesn’t have permission will remain in school.

We will be heading to BBS in the afternoon only and we will be back just before the end of the school day.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Yr 4 Diary Date Reminders 4-8th December

Reminders of things happening for Yr 4 Children:

Monday – All Year 4 need swimming kits.
– All children need their performance scripts in school.

Tuesday – Rock Steady Music Concert – parents of Rock Steady children welcome for a 10am start

Wednesday – HOMEWORK DUE IN. Please bring in your homework book by Wednesday morning.
– LIBRARY. Children will have the opportunity to borrow or exchange a school library books.

Thursday –

Friday – Walking Bus initiative from Shuker Field at 8.20am – wearing Christmas Jumpers!
– All Year 4 PE kits

**Playscripts are needed all week – both at home and at school for constant practicing please!**
