4J in Beech’s Base

4J have absolutely loved Beech’s Base this afternoon. They have enjoyed building shelters as part of their Design & Technology topic.

5OP and 5K Swimming

5OP and 5K will not be swimming on Monday 31st March.  Please could they bring in their PE kits on 31st March instead.

Both classes will swim on Friday 4th April  – please can they have their swimming kits in school on this day.  Please could children also bring in a top and bottoms to wear in the pool as it will be a water safety lesson.

Yr 6 Homework

Homework is due by Wednesday 2nd April 2025. 

Please ensure your homework is presented to a high standard and completed on time.

  1. Read 3 times to an adult & have your reading record signed.
  2. Complete the Converting Measure test on http://www.maths.co.uk – this is linked to the learning we have been doing in school this week. More information on this topic can be found here: How to convert – measure
  3. Complete the SPaG Booster questions which have been put into homework books.
  4. Complete copy of statutory spelling words in neat, legible handwriting.

Snacks

Please can I ask that snacks for the children to eat at morning breaktime are not put into lunch boxes. Children should not need to go to their lunchbox until lunchtime.

Yr 6 Swimming – CLOTHES NEEDED

Next week in swimming, Yr 6 will be doing a water safety themed lesson in the pool, so as well as their swimwear, everyone will need to bring clothing  (a T-shirt or pyjamas (short or long) work best) No fluffy pyjamas or clothing as it will be too heavy for them.

Being confident in water safety skills is essential so we ask that children ensure they have this in school for Thursday.
