Year 5 celebrated David Attenborough’s 100th birthday

The children have learnt about the life of Sir David Attenborough and have planted a sunflower seed to grow at home. Who can grow a 100cm sunflower?🌻

Weekly planner for week 5

Please find below everything that is happening in year 6 next week.

Have a lovely, restful weekend.

Year 6 week 4- NO HOMEWORK

Dear Year 6 families,

Just a quick message to let you know that there will be no homework set this week. With SATs coming up next week, we’d like everyone to have the chance to relax and recharge.

We encourage you all to enjoy a lovely weekend with friends and family- get some fresh air, have fun, and take time to rest. The children have worked incredibly hard, and this is a great opportunity to pause and feel refreshed.

Most importantly, try not to give SATs another thought over the weekend. A calm, happy mind is the best preparation of all.

We’re very proud of each and every one of you, and we’re looking forward to supporting you through next week.

Wishing you all a restful and happy weekend!

Yr5 WhatsApp Group.

Can I just notify parents that a Yr5 parent has raised a concern around the Yr5 WhatsApp group chats. It appears there is a some inappropriate content being discussed and shared on these group chats, involving people who are not children from NJS. A male, calling himself Zane and claiming to be 14 has been involved in a group chat. The parent who brought this to the school’s attention said that this male was not known to her or other parents she spoke with. Please can I suggest parents look at their children’s WhatsApp chats and monitor their usage closely.

Thank you,

Mr Rotherham
