Newport CE Junior School has a vacancy for a Lunchtime Supervisor.  This is a permanent post for 7.5 hours per week.

School Choir: Newport Light Switch On

Our school choir have an exciting opportunity to perform at the ‘Newport Christmas Light Switch On’ this Friday.  Their performance slot is 5-5.15pm.

If choir members would like to perform they should meet at the side of the stage (which will be located outside Gunero’s) at 4.45pm in their school uniform with something festive on their heads if they can!

Please confirm on ParentPay if your child will be joining us so we know how many to expect.

Yr 6 Homework

Homework is due in by 4pm on Wednesday 20th November

  1. Complete 3 reads to an adult and have your reading record signed.
  2. Complete maths task: converting between mixed & improper fractions. (This follows up on what we have been doing in class this week) Support on how to do this can be found here: Mixed & Improper fractions
  3. Complete SPaG task: Using modal verbs in sentences. Support on how to do this can be found here: Modal Verbs
  4. Complete spellings from the statutory word list, including using the words in a paragraph.

Reminder that Miss Bold runs a homework club on Wednesday in 6B 3.15 – 4pm. Children are welcome to attend this to receive some support in completing their homework.
