Year 4 Swimming Gala

On Thursday afternoon Red and Yellow Team Year 4 children will be taking part in their gala at Newport Swimming Pool.  Children from these teams need their swimming kits.

Children will walk to the pool with school staff in time for a 2pm start.  Parents are welcome to attend to watch.  If parents are at the pool they may take children home from there at 3pm otherwise they will return to school and be dismissed as usual at 3.30pm.

Clubs this week….

Clubs will resume next week, you will get a letter with details later this week.

This week the only clubs taking place are:

Tuesday Girls Football 3.30-4.30 with Mrs Wood

Thursday Drama 3.30-5.00 with Mrs Green

Swimming – Years 3 and 4!

Dear Parents,

Year 3 and year 4 will swap their swimming days for the first week back ONLY.

Year 4 will swim on the first day back, Monday 29th April.

Year 3 will swim on Tuesday 30th April.

This is to accommodate the year 4 trip which is taking place on Tuesday 30th April.

Please ensure you provide your child with their swimming kit on the correct day.

From week 2, Year 3 will revert to Monday swimming and Year 4 will be on Tuesdays.

PTA Bag Collection

You should have received a bag for any unwanted clothing items.  If you are having a major clear out we will accept items in any bags.  Bags will need to be dropped off to school by Tues 7th May – we will notify of the exact collection times as soon as possible. Many thanks for your ongoing support.

Yr6 homework due Monday 29th April

Read at least 3 times per week and ask an adult to sign your reading diary to confirm.

Revise spellings in homework book. We have gone through all spellings for KS2. I would encourage children to focus on words that are still tricky to spell.

Encourage children to use times table rockstars

Children to complete Maths booklet – Ten for Ten – ten questions to be completed per day over a 10 day period. If any support is required refer your child to www.mathsisfun.com and worked models and activity questions are available.
