WANTED: biographies/autobiographies for Year 5

Following Future Me Day and Raising Aspirations week, we are starting a new English unit in Year 5 next week based on biographies. If any Year 5 parents have any biographies or autobiographies that they would be happy sending to school with their child, we would be really grateful. It will help the children understand the genre if they have some real ones to look at. Thanks!

Raising Aspirations Fair

Thursday 24th January 2pm

You are invited to attend our Raising Aspirations Fair on Thursday in the school hall.  Classes will be selling products they have made during the week competing against each other to make the most profit!

If you would like to visit the fair with your child gates will open at 2pm and you may collect your child from their classroom.  You will be allowed to take your child home after you have been to the fair.  Please ensure you advise your class teacher before you leave.

If you are unable to visit the fair with your child you are very welcome to send in some money with them so they can purchase products.  Children will be dismissed as usual at 3.30pm.

The products were presented in assembly on Tuesday so children know the items for sale and approximate prices which range from 50p to £2.
