Homework

This week for homework we would like the children to research a dinosaur of their choice. We would like them to produce a poster to tell us about their dinosaur. This is linking to our science unit where we have just looked at fossils.

Alongside this, the children will need to read 3 times to an adult and time tables rock stars homework will be online from Monday.

The spelling test will be Friday 21st June.

Spellings Wk 5

London Day 2

Pictures show our walk to Downing Street and our workshop at the natural history museum. The children got to handle authentic fossils and use modern day scientific technology to study the artefacts. A great experience for them.

London Day 2

Another wet but even more wonderful day in London for the year 6 children. Today we have taken a river cruise along The Thames, completed the royal walk – including witnessing the changing of the guards – visited the fantastic attractions at The National History Museum, had our evening meal at The Rainforest Cafe before the children watched The Lion King at the theatre. The rain certainly didn’t deter the children, they have loved every minute of their second day! More photos to follow.

Year 5 Cookery Club – Week 2!

Well done for your layered salads: I hope they were enjoyed!

Chocolate muffins next week!  Please bring a container to take your muffins home in.  See you at 12 at the bungalow.

Dear Parents,

Week 7 Year 3 Spellings to be tested 21.6.19

Homework for Year 3 to be completed by 21.6.19

Try to read at least three times at home this week. Spellings will be tested on the usual day, next week.

For homework, children need to put each word into an interesting and unusual sentence – try to add extra description, clauses, details, start with -ing, -ly words, (eg: Watching the sunset, he saw the beautiful clouds reflecting an orange glow. / Slowly, he walked home, kicking the ball as he walked.) Please pay care and attention to capital letters, handwriting and punctuation!

Thank you for your continued support,

The Year 3 Team
