Year 6 Home learning Monday 11th May

Hello Year 6.

Another week of home learning. This should have been the start of a big week for you but with no SATs this year we have some more home learning tasks instead. Under normal circumstances you would have had breakfast in school, maybe you could plan and make yourself and family a special breakfast this week instead?

Have a good week!

A big thank you to Isla in 3P for sending me in her favourite maths jokes:

Why is 6 afraid of 7?

Because 7 ate nine!

And a big well done to Edward in 6J for his experiments with removing sand and salt from water – some great pictures!

Mr J will leave you with this classic for today…

What do you call an empty parrot’s cage?

Polygon.

Have a great day and stay safe.

VE Day celebrations.8th May

Hello NJS!

A week on Friday, it will be 75 years since VE Day- Victory in Europe day, marking the end of World War II in Europe. We were planning a tea party in school, but as we are not going to be there, we would like you to host your own tea party at home. You could make your own bunting and flags or do a bit of cooking with traditional wartime treats! There is a gov.uk website with recipe ideas and things you could do.
https://ve-vjday75.gov.uk/plan-your-ve-day-party/

However you decide to join in the celebrations, we would love to see and share the pictures.

Find out about VE Day on these links.
